The military community is at the heart of Academy District 20. Our students and families can feel at home among our staff and faculty who are well-versed in the complex and unique lives of the military household. Academy District 20 has two public schools located on the premises of the United States Air Force Academy for the convenience of our military families, and are available to all students in the district.

Military Family Life Counselors

School Liaison Program

School Liaisons (SLs) are the central point of contact for commanders, military families, and school districts on Preschool-12th grade school matters. They advocate for military connected students at the local, state and national level. Learn more about the School Liaison program.

Talented and Gifted for Military Families

Academy District 20 understands frequent moves can be disruptive to a student’s education. We adhere to the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Students, which helps ensure disruptions are minimized and gifted students obtain the proper levels of education.
