Academy District 20’s ParentSquare Implementation is in full swing! Parents and staff may start seeing notifications and emails from ParentSquare while the D20 Implementation Team begins training administrators and support staff through January 2025.
Starting in January 2025, all D20 sites will begin using the mass communication tool to communicate schoolwide messages to school staff and families. During the implementation process, our community may receive duplicate notifications, emails, and phone calls, especially regarding weather-related and emergency alerts. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience.

Families who choose not to activate their ParentSquare account will continue to receive notifications via email as in years past. However, these users will be unable to interact with the many convenient tools within ParentSquare such as forms, RSVPs, comments, and more. Infinite Campus will continue to house grades, payments, etc.
Benefits of ParentSquare
ParentSquare enables families to easily choose their communication delivery methods, including a daily digest to keep all their school messages in one place, cutting down on email clutter. The ParentSquare app and desktop website resemble social media and enables families to communicate directly with their school with comments, direct messaging, “appreciations” (likes), and more.
Staff can customize settings, manage their workload, create forms, and use other tools to simplify tasks. As always, families will be able to contact our staff through email and phone calls.
Register your Account
Families will receive their invitations to join ParentSquare in January 2025 to their current email or text message to the contact information listed in the Extended Parent Portal. Users who would like to opt out of this tool will continue to receive emails, texts and phone calls as they did prior to ParentSquare implementation.
Parents/Guardians: Activate Your Account
Your email and/or phone number are sourced from the Extended Parent Portal. ParentSquare will send an invitation email and/or text with a link to activate your ParentSquare account. To revise your contact information, please update your information within the Extended Parent Portal.
From your email, click the button, Activate your account.
Or, from your text message, click the Register link.
Register by entering your Email or Phone Number, then click Get Started.
Staff: Activate Your Account
Staff receive their invitations to join ParentSquare to their work email addresses. Staff members who are also parents/guardians to students within D20 are discouraged from merging their parent and staff accounts to prevent confusion.
From ParentSquare.com or the app, click the button Sign in with Microsoft.
Use your sign in credentials and password that you use for Microsoft.
Personal Preferences
Change Your Language Setting
ParentSquare provides live translation to over 100 languages. Change your language setting so that you will receive Posts, Messages and Alerts in your own language.
Browser – ParentSquare.com
From Home, click your name at the top-right and select My Account.
On the left, select Language Settings.
Click the drop-down menu and select your language and click Save.
Mobile App
From Home, tap the Menu (triple bars) on the top left.
Select Account.
Select Preferences.
Select Language.
Scroll through the list and tap on your language.
Change Your Notification Settings for Posts
Select notifications that work best for your lifestyle. Most messages are delivered as Posts. Customize your Post notifications based on type and delivery method.
The Instant setting will send all Post notifications in real-time.
The Digest setting will send all Posts for the day in one single digest at the end of the day (recommended.)
Some Posts may override Digest settings. Direct Messages and most Alerts arrive instantly.

From Home, click your name in the top-right corner and select My Account.
Select Notification Settings on the left.
Choose your preferred Notification Settings for General Announcements & Messages (Off, Instant or Digest) and School Alerts (On or Off).
If you have multiple phones or emails listed in your account, you may set the order of your preferred contacts to receive notifications. Notifications will only be sent to one email and one phone on your account.
Mobile App
From Home, tap the Menu (triple bars) on the top left.
Select Account.
Select Notifications.
Use the toggle to turn on or off notifications by email, text and app.
Select Instant or Digest for each mode.
