Branding Guides
A brand is the known identity of an organization in terms of what products and services they offer, but also the essence of what the organization stands for in terms of service and other emotional, non-tangible consumer concerns. Everyone within the organization is the face of the brand. Every experience is a reflection upon the brand.
The Academy District 20 Brand Guidelines document specifies how to treat our brand in written and digital form, including colors, fonts, logos and placements. Some of our schools have been through an official branding process and also have brand guidance documents. If a set of brand documents exists, we expect those guidelines to be followed unless approved by the Academy District 20 Communication Department. If the school does not have a branding document, consult with the Communications Department before making any changes to existing graphical or textual assets.
Logos
We love our logos just the way they are and we want you to love them too. Please don’t alter them in any way. When you show respect for our logo, others will too. Over time, consistently displaying our logo will strengthen our brand.
Only use approved district or school logos. Any school group needing a logo (athletics teams, activity groups, etc.) should only use the school's official logo. Alterations or customizations are not permitted without approval from the Communications Department.
Third parties are prohibited from using our official logos without explicit authorization from Academy District 20. While we greatly value our partnerships with organizations such as PTAs, boosters, suppliers, and other service partners, it is important to note that these entities operate independently from Academy District 20 and, therefore, must refrain from utilizing our branding.
We can supply logos in a number of formats:
EPS Scalable Vector
PNG Raster with transparent background
JPG Raster with white background
For each logo type there are additional options:
CYMK (4-color process suitable for 4-color printing including a desktop printer.)
Pantone (1 - 2 spot colors, suitable for offset and screen printing only)
Black (Suitable for any print type)
White (Suitable for any print type)
The Academy District 20 Branding Guidelines document will have examples if you need additional help in selecting a logo. Individual school branding information can be provided upon request.
