While many high school students spent their summer vacation relaxing or traveling, a group of Academy School District 20 (D20) students chose to invest their time gaining valuable work experience through impactful internships.

These students dedicated 60 hours over the summer interning at various regional business partners, demonstrating their skills and potential. After completing her internship, Kathryn Kulp a sophomore at Pine Creek High School, was hired on by Marriott. Other business partners included Infinite 8 Institute, Think Green Computer and School Family Media, LLC.

Director for College and Career Services Jamon Peariso said, “These students were amazing and enjoyed their experience. Many of them connected to these competitive internships through our work-based learning program."
