The Academy District 20 (D20) Transportation Department recently hosted the Regional Bus Rodeo competition with nearby school districts. This event is a precursor to the statewide event in Denver, where transportation staff demonstrate their abilities and knowledge to operate school busses.
This year, D20 staff walked away with hardware signifying their accomplishments.
Gunther Beerten – 1st Place, General Education
Jim and Christina Allen – 1st Place, Special Education
Mahala Horne, Rookie of the Year
Deb Spilman – 3rd Place, General Education
The event would not be possible without the meticulous planning by D20 Transportation Staff, including Mike Blanot, Chris Fritz and Brian Vasina who prepared the event space in the Pine Creek High School parking lot and secured event sponsorships.
