The school choice enrollment period: January 6th, 2017 at 8:00 am until February 24, 2017 at 4:00 pm.
 
 
Academy Disctrict 20's Choice Enrollment Program allows you to select the school that best fits your child’s educational needs, on a space available basis. During the Choice Enrollment Application Window, any student may apply whether you reside inside Academy District 20's boundaries or outside of our boundaries. Academy District 20 offers a full range of educational choices including neighborhood schools, school-within-a-school models, and school wide programs. While some schools may have specific focus areas, all Academy District 20 schools teach the Colorado standards and offer comprehensive programs for all students.
 

Choice Enrollment Rules to Remember

  • Applications are not considered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Once you are accepted to a school, you are eligible to continue through all grades offered at that school.** You do not have to reapply each year.
  • During the Choice Enrollment application window, each school hosts a Choice Enrollment night where parents and students are invited to learn more about the school and to meet the staff. Attending a Choice Enrollment night is NOT a guarantee of attendance to that school.

**At Discovery Canyon Campus this means Choice Enrollment applicants will need to reapply at each school level (i.e. K-5, 6-8, 9-12).

 

 

 Next Steps

  1. Parent/Guardian and student may attend the Choice Information Meeting(s) at the school(s)
  2. Once you have decided which school(s), complete the choice application on-line.
  3. Print, sign, and either fax the Choice application to Central Registry (719-234-1286) or bring the choice application to Academy District 20's Central Registry at 1110 Chapel Hills Drive.
  4. Parent/Guardian will be notified via email by April 1, 2017.
