On Thursday June 28, Academy District 20 was alerted to a potential cyber vulnerability and took precautionary measures to shut down the internet, allowing our IT team time to investigate the report.

Given this time of the school year, the impact on students and staff is minimal, and day-to-day operations in the district will continue. District 20 has implemented robust logistical support to keep our departments functional.

In the event internet connectivity is still down next week, non-essential district departments may need to work from home. All cloud-based systems, like Workday, Infinite Campus, Microsoft Applications and others can be accessed remotely.

Currently, District 20 phones cannot receive or make outgoing calls. To reach the D20 Education and Administration Center (EAC), community members may call 719-499-1611.

Additionally, we have worked with summer school administrators to ensure the June 2024 Summer School courses can be completed through alternative measures. If parents need to reach the D20 Summer School team, please call 719-246-3735.

At this time, it is unclear when connection to the internet will be restored. We will send a follow-up message when more information is known.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
